Reparations Resource Center

The University of Pennsylvania Black Law Students Association (Penn BLSA) presents this research guide as a culmination of years of advocacy work for reparations for the transatlantic slave trade.

Introduction

The University of Pennsylvania Black Law Students Association (Penn BLSA) presents this research guide as a culmination of years of advocacy work for reparations for the transatlantic slave trade. We hope this resource center will be useful to other advocates for reparations.

Penn BLSA would like to dedicate this research guide to Professor Regina Austin, who has served as a faculty advisor to Penn BLSA and an advocate for Black students at Penn. Professor Austin provided key insights as the faculty advisor during Penn BLSA's 2020 PanAfrica trip in Brazil and the 2021 virtual PanAf trip that focused on reparations in the United States and Haiti. Professor Austin, thank you for your decades of contributions to Penn BLSA, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and legal academia.
